Twenty clubs urge the government to ban gambling ads in football

Twenty football clubs have joined forces and written an open letter to the government, urging them to end all gambling ads in football.

The 20 clubs, including Luton Town, Bolton Wanderers and Tranmere Rovers, all of which are without any betting partners, unanimously reject the idea that football is dependent on gambling advertising revenues. They are calling for action to be taken beyond banning shirt sponsorship.
